Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Ending of a great year….

Goodbye 2011. It’s been a great and adventurous year, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I must thank you for all the great life lessons you have taught me. I look forward to the coming year and am excited for new things to happen in my life. The year flew by so fast, it feels like yesterday I was just beginning my year and working on my new years resolutions and now we’ve come to the end, where a new beginning will follow.

Insight

Start before you’re ready.
Don’t prepare. BEGIN
Remember, our enemy is not lack of preparation, it’s not the difficulty of the project or the state of the market place or the emptiness of our bank accout.

The enemy is Resistance.

The enemy is our chattering brain, which, if we give it so much as a nano-second, will start producing excuses, alibis, transparent self-justifications, and a million reasons why we can’t/shouldn’t/ won’t do what we know we need to do.

Old beliefs cannot lead you to new cheese

You gotta change the way you look at things and things will change.
What are some of your new years resolution? I plan on taking a day to think after Christmas to figure out mine.

Just finished reading the Business of the 21 Century by Robert Kiyosaki. This has to be the favorite book by him. A must read if you’re iffy about your chances of landing that sound job you’ve always wanted. Take control of your life and do what you love. I’m currently reading the Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell and I plan on finishing it within the next day or two. ;)

Finals Week

I’ve been at school since 11am today….it is now 2:04am. I’ve had 2 energy drinks, Wackadoos,Qdoba, yucky coffee, free breakfast provided by SGA which was gross and spicy raman noodles. Oh the joys of being in school. lol Oh did I mention I made a friend on the shuttle named Chris who I’ve seen at random places on campus like 3 times already and another friend named Alex who I met in the library that keeps talking to me and my friends. LOL finals week make me laugh, everyone is cracked out from lack of sleep, caffeine and stress.

Perseverance

I learned a valuable lesson yesterday. I experienced so many emotions and received ample feedback from many, many influences. I realized though, that through the toughest times I will be challenged and pushed to the limit. I am making it a point to take 1 day out of this coming week to get away and be by myself to reflect on my life and what it is I really want to accomplish.

Starting a race is no big deal, but finishing the race takes commitment and dedication and that is a really big deal.
